ALABAMA STATE CAPITOL BELL TO RING FOR NATIONAL COMMEMORATION
Aug 23, 2019  -   On Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm CST, the bell at the Alabama State Capitol will ring in solidarity with others across the country in a national “Day of Healing.”

Aug 23, 2019  -  Sunday, August 25, 2019 is intended to be a day of healing. Across the nation, communities and organizations are hosting commemorative “Day of Healing” events recognizing the 400 years since the first arrival of enslaved Africans to colonial Jamestown, Virginia.
"DRILL, DRILL,DRILL" LIVING HISTORY SERIES CONTINUES AT CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL PARK
Aug 8, 2019  -  The Alabama Historical Commission and Confederate Memorial Park are pleased to announce “Drill, Drill, Drill!” as part of their 2019 Living History series. On Saturday, August 17, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, living historians will focus on the manual of arms and military maneuvers of the Civil War.
OLD CAHAWBA HOSTS "TRUE CRIME WALKING TOUR"
Jul 29, 2019  -  Old Cahawba Archaeological Park, a historic site operated by The Alabama Historical Commission, will be hosting its “True Crime Walking Tour” on Saturday, August 3, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
