Fort Toulouse-Fort Jackson Park, the Alabama Historical Commission, and the Friends of the Forts are pleased to announce the annual French & Indian War Encampment taking place April 22-23, 2017, at Fort Toulouse-Fort Jackson Park near Wetumpka, Alabama.

Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children six to eighteen years of age.  The event takes place 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday and 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday.  

This special event focuses attention on the main protagonists of the French & Indian War - France, Britain and their American Indian allies.  Additionally, the event features daily life at a French frontier fort and Creek village in the year 1756. Soldiers will engage in mock battles each day and souvenirs replicating items of the time period will be available for purchase.  

Living history demonstrations of military, Indian, and civilian life will take place on Saturday and Sunday throughout the day.  Re-enactors will be dressed and equipped as they appeared in North America during the middle of the eighteenth century.

Fort Toulouse-Fort Jackson Park is an historic property of the Alabama Historical Commission and is located at 2521 West Fort Toulouse Road, 2 miles west of U.S. Highway 231.
