FIFTEEN PROPERTIES ADDED TO ALABAMA REGISTER OF LANDMARKS AND HERITAGE
Dec 22, 2021  -  The Alabama Historical Commission added 15 properties to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on December 13, 2021. The Alabama Historical Commission created the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage to recognize buildings, structures, sites, objects, and districts of historical, architectural, and/or archaeological significance. Nominations may be submitted by anyone to the Alabama Historical Commission. A staff review committee determines if the nominated property meets the established criteria and the property is added to the register if the criteria is met. The designation is honorary and does not restrict what a property owner can do with the property.
